One Year of Lady Pastors Blogging Together

Today's Friday Five is all about the RevGalBlogPals, the clearinghouse of web fabulousness I'm lucky to be a part of. As as Pink Shoes says (copy and paste is so nice), "If you read my blog and aren't a RevGalBlogPal, be sure to check it out today -- It's our anniversary!"

1) What is your first memory of the RevGalBlogPals?
Finding the blog formerly known as Thoughts from a First Year Minister, and reading about Rev Stacey's run in with a different communion practice. It involved accidentally spitting out the Body of Christ. When I saw the little RGBP box in the sidebar, I knew I'd found my people.

2) Have you met any of the other ring members in real life?
I knew Hermeneuticland and Preacher in Process in real life. I met PureChristianIThink a couple months ago.

3) Of those you haven't met, name a few you would love to know in person.
All of 'em. I feel like I know a few pretty well already, even if we haven't met face to face.

4) What has Ring Membership added to your life?
Sanity. Humor. Spiritual writing that cuts through the numbness of being a religious professional. A daily reminder that while I may be an anomaly in my immediate surroundings, there are other female pastors. The phrase "put on your big girl panties and deal with it" (thanks, PCIT!).

5) Describe a hope for the future of the WebRing.
Definitely a convention. In Finland! Or at least regional get-togethers. And by golly, I think we deserve to be featured on the cover of The Christian Century.

Many thanks to my RevGalBlogPals!
