A matter of preference

A couple days ago I received an unfortunate letter telling me that my application for a Really Wonderful Opportunity would not be reviewed since it was not among the first fifty applications received (even though I submitted mine over a month before the deadline). Ben said that this was better than an all-out rejection, but I'm not so sure. I think I would rather be considered and rejected than not considered at all.

Either way, I'm sad that I don't get to participate in the event. It had to do with ministry and writing, and I would have loved it.
