Behold!


I have made bread. From scratch. I slipped on my homesewn apron, wielded my new kitchen thermometer, and faced my fear of baking with yeast. Throughout the whole process I kept thinking it was going to be a bust, but it tastes pretty darn good for a first try. (I let it cool all of three seconds before I sawed into it for a test.)

And yes, I should have been doing Christmas cards.
