My alma mater has a new series in which professors are challenged to deliver their "last lecture" - answering the question, "If you knew you had one final opportunity to give a lecture, what would you say?" (This is pretty bold, considering the alarming professorial attrition rate during my time there - thankfully, the school seems to be thriving under new leadership.)
Anyway, the professor of spirituality delivered a lecture called "Pay Attention" in October. It's beautiful and hard and honest and true, and I'm going to print it out and put it in my Important file. I strongly recommend brewing a cup of tea and reading it in full.
