2013 in Books

Once again, I didn't quite reach my goal of finishing fifty books. But, I read some books I loved this year. Standout non-fiction included Consider the Birds, Eat With Joy, Ruins, and Half Empty. I struggled to put Stephen King's 11/22/63 down, but didn't care for his Joyland at all. My favorite novel of the year was What Alice Forgot, but only by a hair. I also dearly loved the forthcoming YA book, Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy.
